Summer so far...

So, yea, now its really been awhile... However, it occurs to me that I'm really bad at keeping in touch over the summer so, if ya care to know whats going on w/me this summer so far, read on...

I'm working at Hildene (the summer home of Pres Lincoln's son, Robert Todd and his fam) I work down in the visitor's center in the gift shop and sometimes ticket counter, my mom is my boss actually, which is kinda cool. So, work takes up most of my time but when I'm not working I hang out w/people from work... lol. Its cool, there are a few who are my age so we hang out and lately there have been event going on at Hildene after work. Last Friday we went to this Latin concert thing where they had salsa dancing and stuff, it was crazy hot out but it was pretty fun and we danced a bunch anyway. Also since the concert was presented by the Vermnot Arts Exchange, they had some artsy stuff there too. The VAE is in Bennington and this summer Benn is having something called "Moosefest" (Manchester has horses) and I think NY or some place did this w/cows at some point, but they have diff artists paint the lifesize ceramic animals however they want then at the end of the summer they have them up for auction, anyway, the one the VAE had was really cool cuz on that moose alone, they had a few diff artists do stuff. They also had an art bus there which was cool, it was like a reg school bus but the back half was converted and had tables n stuff with markers and colored pencils n stuff w/paper so kids, or anyone really could go in and draw stuff.

Anyways, there was also another concert there, the Washington County Band I think, and it was free and it was cool even tho it was more like orchestra style concert even though they played some lively music. Also, I've helped at some weddings n stuff in the evenings, just standing in the house telling people where the bathrooms are and about the house and whatnot, but thats pretty fun too, cuz its basically hanging out w/ppl from work and usually while the wedding guests are having dinner we go out to dinner too.

So, basically I'm keeping busy, mostly w/work but also hanging out w/the fam and friends whenever they come to visit, the only thing is that usually by the end of the day I'm kinda exhausted which leads to not being very good about keeping caught up, I will try to be a little better though, although, even though its crazy, it won't be too much longer till we start school again and I'll prob try to make my way to NY before I go back.

UMass starts classes Sept 7th! that seems crazy late! and i think we move in like sept 5th or something? (those of us still on campus anyway... is there anyone left?)
